Ticket Stub Decor

I've decided I am a bit of a hoarder. It's just so hard since we move so much, I hold onto things as memories! Since moving, we have been purging...a lot! It's time! Why hold onto baby clothes and move 3 more times before they may (or may not) even get used. The thrift store on post has been getting frequent drop offs from this family. And it feels so good.

Well I was about to throw out all my old ticket stubs, but I just couldn't do it. So many memories...concerts...movies...date nights...travel...museums...sport events. It was a fun trip down memory lane. But they just added to the clutter in the junk drawer and I couldn't deal with it anymore.

So I did this instead

Now I can have the organized and used as decor in my china hutch verses collecting dust in the junk drawer. Easy and cheap. This was an Ikea jar I already had and some scrapbook stickers. Now we can add more memories to it!

Getting on the road....

Getting ready to move to lawton ok for about six months for the career course. My challenge for today...dealing with kids clutter in the car! We tried backpacks on our trip to Florida....no one used them correctly and they ended up being more of a mess. So my thirty one just had their outlet sale...so I snagged a few great deals. Already had the large utility tote "junk in my trunk" but got these 3 single organizers to go inside. Three fit perfectly. So one for baby toys...one for boy toys...and one for big girl toys! Hopefully this works better for us.

My thirty one deluxe beauty bag

The boxes came today!! We closed the order on the 9th and it was here the 15th...not bad!

Anyway got the deluxe beauty bag as a hostess exclusive but wasn't really convinced I needed it. I mean wasn't it just like any old bag you get at Walmart?

Well I was wrong...this bag is AWESOME and I am finding all sorts of uses for it. But first here is the traditional use....for toiletries!

We are going on vacation in a few weeks and I am already deciding how to organize everyone's clothes and such for that. More blog posts to come on that. But toiletries are always something I struggle with. I usually pack everyone's separately but with our kids being so young they hardly have anything and I'm the one helping them anyway. I also hate trying to portion out travel sizes. For a weekend trip that's fine, but two plus weeks of travel....I don't think those little bottles are gonna cut it!

So take a look at this.....this is everything my family needs (minus toothbrushes since I still need to get holders...but I left space for them.

I can even fit my own hand towel in the front (hotel towels are so rough on my face!)

Look how much this bag holds!!!

These are our full size shampoo, conditioner, and soap bottles! No pouring or portioning. Pack and go!

My makeup is up top. And there are three little pockets in the upper zipper area. I put qtips, hair ties, and tweezers and a little bottle of perfume.

It's hard to tell but this front portion is a zipper pouch as well.

I used the tissue to show the pocket. There are pockets on each side on the exterior. Inside there are two netted side pockets, four bottle holders (elastic) and the zipper front pouch.

Ok....I love this bag!!

if only....

Coleden found this bottle of Aleve (package says extra strength lasts up to 12 hours) and asked me what it was. I told him it was medicine. ...
