Address and Graduation Info.

So life in the Army is already confusing! Took a bunch of phones call but I think I have the correct details now! Looks like he will be graduating April 30th. That gives him just two days before he needs to be at Ft Benning for OCS. So basically I will see him for a day before he is shipped over there. I kept telling myself it was only 8 weeks and then a week off and then 12 weeks. But now it is like 22 weeks straight! I guess they don't count reception or any of that as part of the training "weeks".

Also got his address!! Yay! I have seven letters are written up from last week and ready to go. Hope he isn't too embarrassed. I started typing them so I could insert pictures of Lorelei and stuff without sending the actual pictures. Thought that would save him some space. He has locker checks and they can dump out all your stuff if it isn't up to standards (or if they feel like it...) so I figured the fewer things to clean up the better!

Also, the "food scare" I guess sounded bigger in the news (plus a worried wife at home who hadn't heard from her husband) than it really was. He said some guys who had just graduated from AIT at threatened to poison the food at Ft Jackson. Doesn't sound like they actually did poison it or even possess any poison.

Here is the info from Fox.com

" The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that soldiers were attempting to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

The ongoing probe began two months ago, Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, told Fox News.

The Army is taking the allegations “extremely seriously,” Grey said, but so far, "there is no credible information to support the allegations."

Five suspects, detained in December, were part of an Arabic translation program called "09 Lima" and use Arabic as their first language, two sources told Fox News. Another military source said they were Muslim. It wasn't clear whether they were still being held.

Grey would not confirm or deny the sources’ information."

Well I guess I have to get used to this type of stuff. He is in the Army!

Here is his address if anyone needs it. One thing to keep in mind is all letters are monitored and they aren't allowed really anything but letters and photos. I guess sometimes people try to send baked goods and that gets them in a heap of trouble. For right now it's like he is in prison...lol. Don't feel like you have to send anything. But if you wanted to you could send it to this address or feel free to email something and I can add it in to one of my letters. I have sent him all the comments from here and facebook so he can see the support here at home. Thanks!!
